Really good post Lars. The magazine article lifts the lid on what for some can be a commercial and ethical tightrope. You clearly have the balance right with your honest and open approach. Made me think about what an influencer is in this space and maybe some food for thought for list-makers.

Who are being influenced?

Genuine HR buyers, organisational leaders, bloggers & tweeters, just North Americans (e.g. the magazine influencer list, however acknowledge their reach is global), the HR silos e.g. learning, tech, analytics, org design, payroll, recruiters, product/solution designers, academics…

Why are they influential?

Where they lead others follow, number of followers on twitter/linkedin, popularity, depth and breadth of what they have accomplished, how many they have positively influenced, presence on other influencer lists…
